Dear All, I would like to announce the release today of the call for participation for a one day workshop the Web Foundation (http://www.webfoundation.org ) is organizing on Voice technologies for development. This is part of the series of workshop started in 2006 on mobile and web technologies for social and economic development. Last instance was last june in Tanzania (see report at http://public.webfoundation.org/2011/01/MW4D_WS/report.html ) The CFP for the new instance is at https://public.webfoundation.org/2011/10/M4D_WS/ The announcement at http://www.webfoundation.org/2011/11/announcing-the-workshop-on-mobile-and-web-technologies-in-social-economic-development-2012/ this workshop is part of the Mobile Communication for Development (M4D http://www.m4d2012.com/) organized every 2 years by HumanIT (Karlstad University, Sweden). This year it is in New-Delhi india, co-organized by Society For Education and Research Development (India) We are inviting submission of position paper till January 16th, and we are also looking for sponsors to be able to provide travel grants to people and organizations from deevloping countries that have experience and expertise but cannot afford the travel.
