When/how to join: see http://www.w3.org/2008/MW4D/#telcos 1. Terminology We need terms for a few concepts. At least the following: * A software+hardware solution that implements some functionality, which can be deployed in multiple scenarios (eg, frontlineSMS, or Ushahidi) * A scenario / project / story / deployment / application using said solution (eg, government programme in Mongolia to disseminate public health information, using frontlineSMS, or haiti.ushahidi.org) * A technology on which a project above is based (eg, SMS or Web application) We should find a name for each. Let me suggest for now: tool, service and technology, respectively. So we could write that: * CGNet Swara [1] is a service, based on a tool called AudioWiki [2], using Voice (IVR) and SMS technologies. * Honduras Health Mapping [3] is a service, based on a tool called Ushahidi [4], which is based on Web application and email technologies. Impact on the tools page (Stephanie)? http://www.w3.org/2008/MW4D/wiki/Mw4d_tools Impact on the mobile enablers document (Max) http://public.webfoundation.org/2010/08/mobile_enablers 2. Business model star cases Action: Nicolas to launch discussion on the mailing-list about business model star cases [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2010/09/13-mw4d-minutes.html#action01] 3. Impact analysis http://www.w3.org/2008/MW4D/wiki/Mw4d_impact Betty was to propose a table of indicators and to sumarize the discussion on the list and bootstrap discussion on impact analysis Cheers, Max.
