Re: MW4D & Accessibility

Dear Stephane,

Thanks a lot for a prompt work, which is well done.

Allow me to propose another point of accessibility, Network accessibility, if you and the team have not elaborated it yet.

In many developing countries, public phone services are still operated by monopoly telecom operators. It is not unusual to see ISPs under monopoly by a national PTT. This is a major cause of high price.

For voice, monopoly in voice services, including voice over mobile phones, could be a cause of subsequent obstacles to the development of innovative use of mobile phones; lack of investment in network infrastructure, high price, low penetration rate outside urban areas, etc.

Type approval procedure and lack of single international standards could be another access barrier, that deserve elaboration.

Being a new comer to the team, I hope my inputs above is not too far from the project purposes.

Best regards,
Yoshiko
