Hello MW4D WG members As I mentioned few moments ago in our conference call, there is now a new book out, which is targeted to normal consumers to explain how they can use their mobile phone to access Mobile WEB-services. I promised in the call to send additional information by e-mail-list. Here it comes. One of the author's of the book sent the following message to me to announce the details of the book: ======================================== Hi Everyone, Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying the summer so far... I wanted to send you a quick heads up that I've co-authored my first book. It's titled Mobile Internet For Dummies and it is a mass-market consumer book all about how to best use your mobile phone to access made-for-mobile Internet content, services and more. I worked together with John Levine (of Internet for Dummies fame with millions of copies sold), Jostein Algroy (industry advisor/journalist based out of Toronto), Daniel Appelquist (Vodafone mobile web thought-leader and Mobile Monday London co-founder) and James Pearce (dotMobi VP Technology and Mobile Monday Dublin co-founder) along with a couple of other mobile industry gurus (Michael Becker and Russell Buckley) to write about everything you wanted to know, but were afraid to ask, about how to use your phone to surf the net in one easy to read/follow book. We covered text messaging to email to blogging to games to music to pictures to shopping to banking to building mobile web sites to accessing the Internet from the palm of your hand. The book also includes a few tips and information on how to find the best deals on phones and carrier network plans for your mobile Internet use. In conjunction with the book, we created a web site at http:///mifd.mobi that will work well on your computer browser and your mobile phone browser to help you find more services in the mobile web space. You can buy a copy of Mobile Internet for Dummies at your favorite bookstore or order on line from Amazon (World Wide) or Barnes & Noble (USA) or Indigo/Chapters (Canada) or directly from our publisher at Wiley or the Dummies book site. Thanks! Best regards, Michael -- Michael J. O'Farrell Co-Author of Mobile Internet For Dummies John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Order your copy now on line at www.dummies.com ======================================================== I got the book last week, it is about 300 pages long. I bought it from Amazon USA and the price was there 19 USD + shipping. Br. Lauri
