Hello, I’m trying to understand how <beat-repeat> works in MusicXML. The example at https://usermanuals.musicxml.com/MusicXML/Content/EL-MusicXML-beat-repeat.htm is the only one I found, and: - the first measure has three two-notes chords, and a fourth one is missing; - adding the fourth one before the three already there leads to the following with the attached file: - Finale 2014 produces a two-note chord and 3 slashes; - MuseScore, Sibelius 7.1.3 and musicxml2ly produce 4 two-note chords, but no slashes; So only Finale does the right thing… if it was right to add the missing measure before the <beat-repeat> start. But then, exporting from Finale to MusicXML loses the beat-repeat information: importing the result leads to 4 two-note chords and no slashes, as with the other tools. I was mislead by thinking <beat-repeat> would be similar to <measure-repeat. In particular, there is no indication of how many times to repeat, and the initial element, here a two-note chord, in not included between the start and stop... It looks like <beat-repeat> is a half-baked feature, which no one ever used. Did I miss something? Thanks for your help! JM
