Dear community, As you will by now have noticed, I am working my way through the GitHub issues that have been earmarked for being worked on as part of the SMuFL version 1.2 update. In order to share the proposals of how each issue will be addressed with the community, I am marking each issue as "in progress" and describing the proposed solution in a comment, which is then sent to this list in order to invite discussion. There are a further dozen or so issues for which I will create proposals over the next couple of days, each of which will generate one email. Please do respond directly in GitHub if you have any thoughts on the proposed implementation. A couple of people have left the Community Group today, which could be a coincidence, or it could potentially be as a result of the sudden increase in noise from this mailing list from the automated GitHub emails. This was also raised as an issue at our recent CG meeting at Musikmesse in Frankfurt. The co-chairs took an action at that meeting to explore what options might exist to reduce noise from GitHub, though we have not yet made any progress on this issue. However, since GitHub is where the action is happening, sending emails to the CG to alert members to work that is going on is a necessary evil. If you are disturbed by these emails, I urge you to consider setting up a rule or filter in your email client to send emails e.g. that contain "[smufl]" or "[musicxml]" in the subject line to a folder where you can review them at your leisure, rather than simply leaving the CG. Thanks!
