I posted briefly about this earlier, but am not sure if it got to the list (at
least it didn't engender any replies). Also as a composer, I very much believe
contemporary work has never been a serious undertaking in notation standards
or software. I set scores for other composers, mostly work that is difficult
to accomplish in any existing software, so I well know that the absence of
standards and extensions to handle music past 1950 is lamentable. (Michael
Good has seen some of my work.)

Thanks for everyone's work. I'm no longer a programmer, but appreciate all the
efforts.
