mlw-lt-track-ISSUE-118: HTML ITS default behaviour [MLW-LT Standard Draft] http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/track/issues/118 Raised by: Felix Sasaki On product: MLW-LT Standard Draft We need to specifiy a rules file expressing default behaviour for HTML. It should accomodate - settings in existing tools - backwards compatibility (HTML4, XHTML ...) - forwards compatibility (e.g. specifiyng the file, but having a link to an easy to update wiki with the "latest" rules) - a should (or must?) statement about what ITS processors should (or must?) do. - make clear that if a tool implements only one data category, it doesn't have to take defaults for others into account - make precedence clear, that is relation of inherited values to default rules. - anything else?
