They should validate in online validator (validator.nu). The command-line validator uses just RELAX NG validation and HTML5->XML preprocessing step so it doesn't filter data-* attributes out. If I will have time I will try to look at ways how to invoke validator.nu locally from command-line and use it as a validation form HTML5 content.
