Tomorrow's multicast-cg meeting at 9:30am Pacific (5:30pm UTC)

Hi multicast-cg,

Happy New Year!

As mentioned earlier, tomorrow's meeting will be at 5:30pm UTC
(9:30am Pacific time), I hope to see you then.

Proposed agenda:

- 5 min: welcome and agenda-bash
- 30 min: Status update & discussion.
A quick preview of what's on my mind:
  - WebTransport got back to me about adding multicast as a use case
    (https://github.com/w3c/webtransport/issues/371). Their answer was
that it's premature, it needs IETF protocol work first. Their notes
    are here:
    https://www.w3.org/wiki/WebTransport/Meetings#:~:text=still%20need%20to%20implement%20multicast%20in%20quic

  - Still working on the quic implementation, slow progress on holidays
  - Probably will have to plan on deployment with an external app. Trying
to come up with a minimum viable product plan for the browser side,
and waffling over whether it's best to use quic or just run something
that already works and add ambi. Long-term probably good to attempt
quic, but probably faster deploy to skip it if the browser has to start
    with an external app anyway.
  - IETF drafts are expiring, I probably need to spend some time refreshing
    them this month
- 10 min: Next Steps
  - maybe set up another try at running the ingest if Casey is willing
  - maybe try to pin down some target dates

Jake
