Re: Retiring the mobileOK checker

Reluctantly, I have to agree.  The MobileOK checker, in itıs current form,
is probably not useful to the majority of Web developers looking to ensure
good user experience on mobile devices.  MobileOK had a good run and
definitely helped to raise awareness among Web developers of mobile
platforms, at a time when mobile was seen as fringe at best by most of the
Web community.  Now, by some measures, the majority of Web usage is on
mobile devices and these devicesı capabilities go far beyond the limited
default delivery context.[1]

Considering all this, maybe it is time to retire the checker.  I do think
it might be useful to revisit your efforts to build a new tool, however.
Maybe discussion on this topic could take place in the Web & Mobile
interest group.
