[minutes] Checker TF Call Wednesday 9 July 2008

In short: a candidate release of the checker v1.0 should be issued 
tomorrow. Testing is needed. And then some more testing. And then... 
er... testing.

    abel: so the main issue re. object processing can be closed
    ... some tests still need to be done before we commit the changes
    ... Should be done by tomorrow, so we could announce we have a
    candidate release to the WG
    ... and then test, test, test
    ... francois, what about updating the online checker?

    checker in the next days

    <abel> .... There is several news this month: BPs as candidate,
    mobileOK Basic Tests as Candidate, and the checker should be
    launched at the same time

    miguel: our plan: close the remaining bug tomorrow. Call for review
    of the checker during a few days.
    ... we have to work on several other topics, so we need help for
    testing

    francois: my proposal:
    ... 1. tomorrow, let's announce the candidate release to the BPWG
    ... 2. ask them to review/test the checker carefully

    miguel: agreed. Re 2., we should ask them to try the checker with
    some pages. But we cannot ask them to look precisely at the code.
    ... They should check the output of the mobileOK checker to ensure
    that it matches the spec.

    francois: what about the documentation?

    miguel: needs to be updated. By July 22?

    francois: I can't promise that I'll have time, but if you agree, I
    can try to update the documentation myself

    miguel: you're most welcome.
