JJ, thank you for this provocative and constructive session! Jamie, yes, very much so. That was reflected pretty much at the start of the conversation yesterday, see the beginning portion of the minutes. Also towards the start of the conversation was the mention that WCAG2ICT (both in 2013 and currently<https://www.w3.org/TR/wcag2ict-22/>) was/is restricted by its charter. The TF was not at liberty, for example, to consider “set of views” – only “set of (non-web) documents” and “set of (non-web) software”. Also, please also see TPAC 2024 Defining Views<https://github.com/w3c/tpac2024-breakouts/issues/46> session proposal for some additional framing and current normative definitions. Was there any discussion of whether there are scenarios where a “set of webpages” is not a “website” and when a “set of software” is not a “suite” such as “Microsoft Office”? In practice it seems that most “sets” are part of a site or suite. Or app. I’d be interested to understand the logic of building up from single units, as done in WCAG and WCAG2ICT, to group repetition and consistency of a “set”, rather than from the whole down a layer to the subset? Current Definitions: * WCAG 2.2: A web page is a resource accessed via a single URI. * WCAG 3: Views include any content available without a substantive change, covering app screens and layers. * WCAG2ICT: Conformity for non-web content defined as software programs and documents. 1. Discussion on Views: * Need to break down software into views to make multiple SC's having 'sets of software' clause apply to non-web content by having 'sets of views' * Differentiation between website hierarchies and app activities/screens. * Consideration of back buttons as indicators for defining views. * Other considerations to identify views such as layout changes, context changes, etc. 1. Actions: * Form a subgroup under AG to research and document views. * Proposal to create a Google Doc for collecting examples to define views. * Gather examples from various applications (web, mobile, desktop, kiosk, etc.) * Collaboration with other groups (e.g., COGA) to address user needs. * Explore integration into WCAG2ICT and WCAG-EM.
