As a follow-up to today's discussion on touch operable access - here's a thought. For all operable components, all operations can be can be programmatically activated by user agents, including assistive without requiring specific keystrokes except when input is required. Definition of specific keystrokes: An operation that requires specific keystrokes would be an interaction that required the user press enter, spacebar, up, down, left, right, arrow, a letter or numeric key, or other combination thereof. Fields that require input or require the user to press enter/return on a physical or virtual keyboard after input are exempt from this.
