Since this is still unclear for me (no consensus reached so far), we still need to confirm if the architecture follows the existing standards. This is important because we would need to bind and test the events of the life cycle specification. If we follow the standard DOM, it's just extend the current specifications. Based on standards, we could create some tests with proper markup and event handling. Otherwise, we would need to define a new page object, as well as define the interfaces of components (specific methods, attributes, etc.).
