Simple Liaison between W3C & OW2

Dear W3C Team and MiniApps WG members,

Recently, OW2 (an independent non-profit open source association whose participants have shown interest in some W3C activities) collaborated in organizing an event to promote W3C technologies [1] in MiniApps. Some weeks ago, I suggested establishing a simple liaison between the two entities to show friendship and the aim of collaboration (e.g., OW2 could also help with testing and reference implementations).

OW2 confirmed its interest in proceeding with this simple liaison, which is the reason for this email.

So, please, let me introduce you to Pierre-Yves Gibello (CEO at OW2) and Christian Paterson (President at OW2 -- also a colleague of mine, external consultant at Huawei). They drafted a document with the potential scope of this liaison [2]. I aligned the initial version with the W3C terms to clarify any doubt about membership implications and commitments. On the other side, OW2 has its specific memorandum of understanding template, but generic without expressing the scope and points of collaboration.

Please, let us know your impressions and, if positive, what the next steps are to commit to this liaison. Thanks in advance.
