David Lee scripsit: > Without external parsed entities or an xml:base attribute, does the > data model need to expose a "base uri" property on elements ? No, but it wouldn't need to even with an xml:base attribute. What's in the Infoset and what is not is not in any way a matter of principle (trust me on this as the editor), just convenience. We could have added "language" as an element property, but didn't. -- Evolutionary psychology is the theory John Cowan that men are nothing but horn-dogs, http://www.ccil.org/~cowan and that women only want them for their money. cowan@ccil.org --Susan McCarthy (adapted)
