Minutes from Media WG meeting 8 Mar 2022

Dear all,

The minutes from today's Media WG meeting are available [1].

Summary:

* We have an agreed approach to MediaSource in Worker, using srcObject and a handle object constructible in a Worker [2]

* For Autoplay policy detection, add a note to the spec to say that the response from the API is informative and not binding on what happens when you call play() on the media element. When the spec draft is updated, we'll seek privacy review

* The call for consensus to add a H.263 WebCodecs registration has closed. Chairs to seek expertise to help review

* We'd like your feedback on the possibility of meeting in person at TPAC in Vancouver. Please indicate your preference at [3]

The next Media WG meeting will be on 12 April at 14:00 UTC / 07:00 PDT.

I expect that we'll use that meeting discuss Media Capabilities issue 192 with input from WebRTC WG members [4]. Please also let us know if there are other topics we should cover.

Chris (for the Media WG co-chairs)
