Hello participants of the Media Working Group, Following discussions during the group's face-to-face meeting back in September 2019 at TPAC, and in [1], this is a Call for Consensus (actually three) to publish First Public Working Drafts of three of the group's deliverables: Media Capabilities ----- - Editor's Draft: https://w3c.github.io/media-capabilities/ - CfC on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/media-capabilities/issues/142 Picture-in-Picture ----- - Editor's Draft: https://w3c.github.io/picture-in-picture/ - CfC on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/picture-in-picture/issues/173 Media Session Standard ----- - Editor's Draft: https://w3c.github.io/mediasession/ - CfC on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/mediasession/issues/246 If you support publication of these documents, you may either remain silent (silence is considered consent) or voice support, preferably through 👍 or ❤️ reactions on corresponding GitHub issues or in response to this email. If you believe it is premature to publish these documents as First Public Working Drafts, please raise concerns, preferably in response to the GitHub issues or in response to this email by the end of January 24th 2020, including rationale for your objection. As noted in individual CfC on GitHub, publication as a First Public Working Draft does not imply that the document already represents the consensus of the Working Group. The document may still change entirely after publication. That said, publication as a First Public Working Draft triggers a first call for exclusion per the W3C Patent Policy. As such, it is always better if the document and the issues opened against it globally capture the envisioned scope.
