Liaison statement from ITU-T SG 16

Hello Media Working Group participants,

For your info, W3C has received a notification from the ITU-T Study Group 16 that their draft new Recommendation H.430.4 "Service configuration, media transport protocols and signalling information of MMT for Immersive Live Experience (ILE) systems" has received the consent of the group, which starts the approval process for the document.

The specification proposes technical profiles of MPEG Media Transport (MMT) for Immersive Live Experience (ILE) services. It may be interesting to look into it as it might impact media APIs down the road (e.g. tracks and metadata exposed in a possible DataCue API, or perhaps demuxing in MSE).
