Dear Media Fragments WG members, I am Nobuhisa Shiraishi, NEC Corporation. I participated in the Media Fragments WG F2F meeting in TPAC2010 last November as an observer. I joined this WG from this January. Our team in NEC is engaged in media analysis engines such as face recognition, trajectory analysis, clothes recognition, and so on. My interest is the interfaces which accelerate the collaboration of various media analysis engines in server-side, and the interfaces which enable various applications to use various media analysis results easily. I think the Media Fragments URI specification can be used for above purposes. [1] is my proposals on the use cases of media fragments in security services. This document is a contribution for "4. Use Cases" in "Use cases and requirements for Media Fragments"[2]. [1] http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/mami/wiki/images/5/5f/Use_cases_of_Media_Fragments_in_Security_Services.pdf [2] http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Fragments/WD-media-fragments-reqs/ I would like to discuss these use cases as a part of the use cases of media fragments in server-side. In the future discussion of Media Fragments URI specifications, I would like to join the discussion considering these media analysis collaboration in server-side. With my best regards, Nobu ----- Nobuhisa Shiraishi <7M3RLA/1> Information and Media Processing Laboratories, NEC Corporation. E-mail:n-shiraishi@bq.jp.nec.com Tel:+81-44-431-7672 Fax:+81-44-431-7588
