This is one of the main argument also from Jack for adopting the first solution proposed by Yves rather than the second one. It seems that we don't have the need to mix units (the Media Fragments URI syntax does not allow it anyway). There was a unknown variable regarding the ability for the server to know the duration of the full media in all circumstances, which I think is a reasonable assumption (also for Davy) though Yves pointed out that it _might_ be a problem in the case of smpte.
