Hi Media Capture Task Force members, As you may know, the Audio WG is in the process of rechartering, with a deadline of next Monday (31 October). The proposed charter is at https://www.w3.org/2011/audio/charter/audio-2016.html The work of the Audio WG is tightly bound to the work of the Media Capture TF, with multiple connections at the API level. The recent review of the Audio Output API further underlines this fact. The Audio WG has made a great deal of progress, but we still need some additional time to complete the remaining work before we can place the Web Audio API into the final recommendation track. We need your help with this; please don't assume that rechartering is automatic. We need the support of 5% of the W3C Membership (or more). We would greatly appreciate it if you could encourage your Advisory Committee (AC) Representative to respond; the form for them to do so is at https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/audio-2016/ and takes just a minute to fill in. Thank you so much! Best, Joe Berkovitz and Matt Paradis Co-chairs, W3C Audio Working Group
