Bug ID: 25884
Summary: Constraints should be reworked to May 21 consensus
Product: WebRTC Working Group
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Media Capture and Streams
Assignee: public-media-capture@w3.org
Reporter: harald@alvestrand.no
CC: public-media-capture@w3.org
At the May 19-21 meeting of the Media Capture TF, consensus was found around a
new form of constraints.
Main properties:
- Consensus for a model where “exact”, “max” and “min” values are always
mandatory, “ideal” is always optionalish, and a naked value means “ideal”.
Peter to draft a proposal (“pull request”?) by June 7.
- Consensus that “advanced” will be part of the proposal going forward.
The consensus was based on slideware by Peter Thatcher.
