Hello folks, the chairs have had a conversation about the progress state of Media Capture and Streams. We think that: - We have shipping versions of many of the basic mechanisms (getUserMedia, constraints) - With the addition of the getSourceInfos, capabilities() and device states interfaces, the spec has now reached a reasonable state of functional completeness. - With the separation out of Recording and TakePhoto into separate efforts, these are not blocking this spec (and neither is the WebRTC spec). - We have a reasonably short list (6 items) of filed bugs against the spec. We do have next week's discussion on Futures, which may lead to a reopening, but most of the spec doesn't depend on that particular discussion; it's relatively isolated. Based on this, we're encouraging the group to: - Read the spec carefully - File bugs on *everything* you think should be fixed before declaring the spec "done for version 1" - Suggest fixes, as concretely as possible, in your bug filings! The editors will integrate the fixes where they're obvious, and the chairs will make sure the remaining items get discussed and resolved. We would like people to enter their bugs by JUNE 15, 2013 - soon after that date, the chairs will consider the state of the buganizer and the documents, and draw a conclusion about the next steps. For the chairs Harald
