I support it too, with one request: can we get rid of "photo-camera" from the SourceTypeEnum (see http://dev.w3.org/2011/webrtc/editor/getusermedia.html#track-source-types)? In the context of ImageCapture, I would prefer not to have any type checking on the VideoStreamTrack used in the constructor. For instance, if takePhoto() is invoked then a type check would be necessary with the current definition of track sources. If we eliminate this source type, then even if the video capture device is not photo capable then takePhoto() can result in an error event. -Giri From: Travis Leithead [mailto:travis.leithead@microsoft.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2013 9:13 AM To: Stefan Håkansson LK; public-media-capture@w3.org Subject: RE: CfC to publish a new WD of "Media Capture and Streams" I support publishing an updated WD. New public WDs is supposed to happen much more often, so we propose to publish the current Editor's draft [2]. Note that making it public does in no way imply that it is final, it is only a way to make people outside the TF aware of that we're are making progress and to get feedback from a wider audience. If you have any comments or concerns about this proposal, please reply to this e-mail by May 6 at the latest. Positive response to this CfC is preferred and encouraged and silence will be assumed to mean agreement with the proposal. We intend to formally decide on the Media Capture teleconf on May 7th.
