Hallo folks, I'm coming here to put in my 2 cents, because: Harald Alvestrand said: The W3C WG has discussed the concept of "remembering" access, in particular in the context of "installed" applications. If you want to add your voice to the discussion, the right mailing list is public-media-capture@w3.org. See discussion below: thx, Ed Goulet ------------------------- I'm using Chrome 19.0.1067.0 canary with web app using getUserMedia, to take webcam snapshots and then email then to users. Each time I come back to the main page, I get asked to Allow/Deny the camera. Is there any way to keep the Allow setting for camera on this page? The app will be used at a kiosk/photo booth so users cannot be expected to keep clicking Allow... thx, Ed ------------------------- Hi Ed, This is good feedback. For your specific case it's sounds like the best solution would be to have a flag that disables the UI altogether (not recommended for normal users). Do you agree? Niklas ------------------------- Hi Niklas, That sounds fine. Or something like 'Remember to Allow camera for this URL' Ed
