@ShijunS, `URL.createObjectURL(mediaStream)` URLs seem to only work with media elements in Chrome too, so that's probably the interoperable intersection that sites are actually using. A spec for it could say that that's the only context where the URL works. I'll ping this issue again in January when use counter numbers from stable are available.
