guidou has just submitted a new pull request for https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-main: == Make the devicechange consistent with enumerateDevices wrt permissions. == EnumerateDevices reflects changes in the set of devices when permission has not been granted. Making devicechange consistent with this adds no additional privacy issues since device changes can be detected by polling enumerateDevices. This matches what Microsoft Edge is currently shipping and what Chromium has implemented behind a flag and intends to ship. See https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-main/pull/419
