I'm re-opening this issue as we seem to have some new data. 
Earlier 
(https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-main/issues/268#issuecomment-161337256)
 we concluded sandboxing won't fly, and went for an 
`allowfullscreen`-like attribute. Maybe this has changed (need more 
investigation).

For breaking apps with the introduction of `allowusermedia`, there was
 some discussion at 
https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-capture/2016Feb/0024.html
 and 
https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-capture/2016Feb/0029.html.
