On Step3/4 I agree it is redundant. it combines two ways of reasoning about the same thing. I'd be fine in going either direction. (musings: Ironically, I implemented this part quite literally where I remove elements from an array (not very efficient). I'm reconsidering this to possibly leave candidates but since they start out with infinite distance, I'd need to track unset!=infinite.) On RequiredConstraints, what clarity is lacking?
