I looked into "browsing session" a bit (or rather, @dontcallmedom helped me), and apparently it is not defined. But it is OTOH used quite a bit (usage in e.g.: http://www.w3.org/TR/geolocation-API/, http://www.w3.org/TR/powerful-features/, http://www.w3.org/TR/wsc-usecases/, http://www.w3.org, TR/discovery-api/, http://www.w3.org/TR/push-api/).
