Rights Automation Community Group: Invite sent for optional POC breakout

Hi everyone,

This week we'll use the optional off-week breakout session to define the scope of the proof of concept we'll present at the end of January. We're looking to demonstrate end-to-end management and enforcement of policies: from the human to the machine.

Ideally we can demonstrate using ODRL in two different ways:

Human Management of Policies: We could start with a data Request from within an organisation. Then match it to any existing Agreements in the Policy Store that supports it. If none are available or suitable, automatically check against the Invitations offered by Data Providers in their Policy Stores. If desired, turn an Invitation into an Agreement and so satisfy the Request.

Machine Enforcement of Policies: We could look at enforcement at Access time: perhaps having a policy automatically determine the topics to which a permissioned external system can subscribe in a message-streaming environment. Alternatively, we could also look at enforcement at Fulfilment time: can we create semantically rich machine accounts that describe their Actions and Purposes so we can check compliance against the Permissions associated with them?

This session is optional, but recommended for anyone who wants to participate in the proof of concept.

Best,
Mark
