Face to face meetings allow us to work in depth on topics and expedite progress on our deliverables. Many of the W3C working groups will be meeting as part of the W3C Technical Plenary later this year in Shenzhen, China, 11-15 November. What do the MBUI working group participants think about that? What about the idea of holding a face to face meeting in Europe fairly soon, e.g. sometime from late April through early June? Is anyone able to volunteer to host the meeting, or should we consider the possibility of co-hosting with another relevant event, if so which one? I would like to get a better feeling for our likely publication date for the Abstract UI specification and the associated Working Group Notes, as well as to see if we can define a roadmap for further milestones, e.g. Last Call Working Drafts, and Candidate Recommendations. A face to face meeting would also be a good opportunity for us to discuss what kinds of criteria are appropriate for exiting the Candidate Recommendation stage, see: http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr.html#rec-advance https://www.w3.org/2003/05/Transitions Looking forward to your feedback. -- Dave Raggett <dsr@w3.org> http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett
