revision and next telco

Hello,

as promised, I have gone through the usages of device, peripheral and
platform, and commented where I think there is a need for a change.

I am uncertain on what was actually meant in some cases, though.

This friday I will be traveling and on the next one I will be at a
conference, so I will not attend the next two telcos.
