Slide 2 is one instanciation of slide 1. This instanciation  
corresponds to the use case number 2 from CNR (see the introductionary  
document) about migratory user interfaces. This use case is about  
adaptation to the platform only. That's why the other features of the  
context of use (user and environment) are depicted as ghosts.

They correspond to the reverse engineering process that is performed  
for recovering the CUI from the FUI targeted for PC platforms, and  
then the AUI from the CUI. Once the AUI is produced, a forward  
engineering process is performed to generate a UI (CUI and then FUI)  
targeted for a mobile platform this time (instead of for a PC).

I hope it helps.

The point is now to do the same exercice for all the use cases. That's  
why the powerpoint has been sent to the mailing list.
