Attendees: - Neil Soiffer - Brian Kardell - Louis Maher - Murray Sargent - Patrick Ion - David Carlisle - Bruce Miller - Laurence Zaysser Thanks again to Louis Maher for taking notes. The meeting was recorded: https://benetech.zoom.us/rec/share/Q9yLmZnGsiOAbAcStxGGEpwCA4wr4_vzRHUxoYS_1__Zl2DbiZevhSa7Za_PXmpx.2a2EKYDEAiz4wqaF Passcode: E#77t^P1 (starts ~3 min in) Agenda: 1. Updates NS: Laurence Zaysser joined our group. We introduced ourselves to our new member. NS: Internationalization comments will be added into the charter. BK: Ask the W3C person who asked for internationalization comments where the comments should go in the charter (or ask ishida@w3.org ) NS: We have all the horizontal group sign-offs. NS: What should we do about testing statements in the charter? We have a requirement to deliver tests. Bert Bos conveyed that some groups have a statement that any changes to a draft have a testing requirement. Should we do the same? BK In living documents like HTML, every specification change requires a test and implementation. We are not at that stage. NS: Where’s the Igalia implementation at? BK: Still waiting on some Google layout changes for stretchy chars. We don’t want to do work twice. NS: Is the table layout in Google complete? BK: No, I believe we are waiting on table completion and discussing what/whether we can do with stretching as it seems that that might take some to get to NS: The Epub group pointed NS to a publisher interested in elementary math. 2. Timelines and plans for 2021 PI: Typos in the charter on dates when items would be completed. NS: He will add a month to the completion estimates in the charter. NS: Charter lists a face-to-face meeting in the fall of 2021. Might happen, but might be virtual? It is listed as being in association with TPAC. NS: When will Igalia be done? This is for Google and Firefox. BK: Wants to go into CR (candidate recommendation) in October 2021. This is the writing of the specification. BK: He believes we have agreement on the scope of level one. BK: href is not in level one. NS: There will be polyfills for all features in MathML that are not handled by regular web browser code. BK: There were efforts to see what is used most in MathML. This is how level one got defined. NS: Asked if anyone had plans to do MathML work the rest of the year. MS: Is working on mrow and mfence implementations at Microsoft. NS: The next meeting may be after the working group is formed.
