Potential for TPAC 2024 F2F meeting Sept 23-27 2024

Dear Maps for HTML Community Group members,

I apologize for the delay in planning a potential meeting of the community, but I would like to take this opportunity to correct that situation.

I would like to propose that the community hold a face to face meeting in the context of TPAC 2024, to be held the week of September 23-27, 2024.

Community members have been hard at work improving the MapML polyfill and adjusting the specification and documentation incrementally.

Furthermore, there are some very interesting and important developments worth sharing in the realm of server support for MapML documents via the OGC Web Map Service, Web Map Tile Service and Web Feature Service interfaces.

It would be ideal to review these developments and share perspectives at this time.

Please get in touch with me if you have suggestions for topics for an agenda, or discuss freely on this list.

I will make every effort to obtain a virtual and in-person venue as required for such a meeting.
