Dear Maps for HTML Community Group, The following documents have been available for some time now, and we would like to publish these as draft reports from our group. The objective of publishing reports from this group will be to help solicit feedback from this community as well as the broader Web standards community, in order to improve them. Once such feedback has been considered, we would like to produce these (potentially updated) reports as positions of this community group. Having done that, and with enough support, we may be in a position to move towards standardisation via a working group, TBD. ˇ Requirements and Use Cases for Maps on the Web [1] ˇ Proposal for the <map> and <layer> elements in HTML [2] ˇ Map Markup Language [3] Please have a look at these documents and potentially indicate if you support publishing them as draft reports from our community. Since they will be draft reports, there will be time to comment even if you haven't had a chance to date.
