Hi, There is a request for participation by the USGS and FGDC in a series of workshops to be coordinated by the OGC, with the objective of documenting the knowledge of how to leverage geospatial technology in times of disaster. This will be an on-going opportunity (funding over the next 5 years) to improve the agility of geospatial technology, and I think Maps for HTML needs to be considered as a future path. So this is an invitation to others on this list to discuss how web map technology integrated to the browser could help (discuss here), as well as to potentially submit proposals relating to MapML / Maps for HTML technology development in light of the requirements. I would be interested, in particular, to discuss collaboration ideas for a submission with you. http://www.opengeospatial.org/projects/initiatives/disasterscds Thank you, Peter Peter Rushforth Technology Advisor Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation / Earth Sciences Sector Natural Resources Canada / Government of Canada peter.rushforth@canada.ca<mailto:peter.rushforth@canada.ca> / Tel: 613-759-7915 Conseiller technique Centre canadien de cartographie et d'observation de la Terre / Secteur des sciences de la Terre Ressources naturelles Canada / Gouvernement du Canada peter.rushforth@canada.ca<mailto:peter.rushforth@canada.ca> / Tél: 613-759-7915
