Does the Spacing Bookmarklet need to be an extension?

Hi Alastair,

I've been wondering about your Spacing Bookmarklet [1] that we used for
preliminary testing the Text Spacing SC's metrics [2].Thank you very much
for all of the work that you invested developing that testing tool.

I "think" you previously mentioned that it should be turned into an
extension for the proper 2.1phase. Is that correct? If so, is making it an
extension something that you would like to do? Or should we start thinking
about finding someone else who could do that?
