These are good references. i will place them in the bibliography. The first is a careful demographic study of low vision between 20/60 and 20/200. The US estimate is 11,000,000 correctable and uncorrectable. 3,000,000 are uncorrectable. Note the huge number of correctable even in the US. The second looks at letter spacing with very small increments. Increments of 1/10 of the space between letters. Better funded studies use larger spacing and to not achieve results.
