Re: Idea for a global conference

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) develops standards and guidelines to
help everyone build and enjoy a web based on the principles of
accessibility, internationalization, privacy and security.

Standards and guidelines are guided by applicability and adequacy,  and
since Godel, Turing, Tarski and Chaitin have dispensed with absolute truths
and the possibility of universal theories of everything,  as have also
Buddhist philosophers, and the quest to explain what is consciousness or
intelligence can only hope to achieve adequate theories borne out by
empirical evidence, we must as promoted by renowned and often quoted
philosopher Bert van Fraassen, strive for empirical adequacy.

Thus we pose the following question as to the empirical adequacy of the
term ICT as referring to information and communication technologies.
