A two-years Research Assistant Position (PostDoc) is available at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies, Italian National Research Council, starting on January 2023. The winner will have the opportunity to work on the research track of HACID, which is an is an HORIZON Innovation Action, a collaborative project funded under the Horizon Europe Programme, within the topic "AI, Data and Robotics at work". HACID develops a novel hybrid collective intelligence for decision support to professionals facing complex open-ended problems, promoting engagement, fairness and trust. The focus of this post-doctoral fellowship is design and development of dashboards for the visualisation and interaction with knowledge graphs in the context of two application domains: medical diagnostics and decision support for climate change adaptation policies. The dashboard will have to enable the selection by domain experts of concepts relevant to the case study, presenting their state in a dynamic and usable way. The activities include the experimental validation of the dashboard to test its usability and consistency. The equivalence of the aforementioned qualifications obtained abroad that have not already been recognized in Italy with the aforementioned formal procedure will be assessed, solely for the purpose of admission of the candidate to this selection, by the selection board set up pursuant to art. 6, paragraph 1 of the Regulations. d) Knowledge of User Experience (UX) methodologies and human-machine interaction; e) Experience in (i) data visualisation and (ii) design and implementation of user interfaces, also with open-source libraries and frameworks for the creation of interactive dashboards (e.g. D3, Kibana, Tableau, etc.); f) Experience in the use of the required programming languages: Python and/or Java; ------------------------------------- WHO WE ARE ------------------------------------- The Institute for Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) is an interdisciplinary institute, featuring integration among laboratories and across research topics. ISTC laboratories share objectives aimed at the analysis, representation, automated reasoning, simulation and interpretation of cognitive and social processes in humans and non-human primates, spanning the physiological, phenomenological, and computational worlds.
