EventKG V2.0 – a multilingual event-centric temporal knowledge graph - released

Dear all,

We are happy to announce the release of EventKG V2.0 [1], [2] - a
multilingual event-centric temporal knowledge graph. In V2.0, EventKG
incorporates over 970 thousand contemporary and historical events and
over 2.8 million temporal relations extracted from several large-scale
knowledge graphs and semi-structured sources. These sources include
Wikidata, DBpedia, YAGO, Wikipedia Event Lists and Wikipedia Current
Events Portal. EventKG makes extracted information available through a
canonical representation based on the Simple Event Model. We provide
data in six languages including interlinking and provenance information.

The EventKG dataset is available at http://eventkg.l3s.uni-hannover.de
as a SPARQL endpoint and downloadable dumps.

An application of EventKG to biographical timeline generation is
described in [1].

The demonstration of EventKG+TL [3] - a cross-lingual timeline
application based on EventKG is available at
http://eventkg.l3s.uni-hannover.de/eventkg_tl.html.

Best regards,

Elena Demidova
