Job Posting: Web Developer, Skosmos platform (RDF/SKOS/SPARQL)

      Web Developer, Skosmos

Full-time contract until 31 Dec 2018


      The National Library of Finland is looking to hire a Software
      Developer / Information Systems Specialist. You will be joining
      our agile project team in Helsinki to help us in the development
      of the open source tool Skosmos (www.skosmos.org
      <http://www.skosmos.org>) for publishing controlled vocabularies
      and ontologies as linked open data.

      Key Tasks

  *

    Work as a part of our collaborative team to develop the Finto
    service and Skosmos

  *

    Write well tested, documented code

  *

    Coordinate collaborative development on GitHub


      Required Skills / Experience

  *

    Good Web development skills in at least one of the following
    languages: PHP, Python, JavaScript

  *

    Experience with agile engineering practices, such as TDD, Continuous
    Integration

  *

    Use of a Source Control System (Git, svn, etc.)

  *

    A positive attitude and good collaboration skills

  *

    Fluent in English


      Desirable Skills

  *

    Experience with linked data (RDF, SPARQL, SKOS)

  *

    Linux system administration experience

  *

    Scripting skills in eg. BASH


Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and education (3000 - 3600 
Euros per month)


The associated project ends at the end of 2018 after which the position 
will be reconsidered.
