Why doesn’t the Database and Semantic Web research community interact more?

All,

I just came back from SIGMOD/PODS. As expected, a lot of work in that
community that is very relevant to our community.

I wrote up a quick blogpost about it and made a list of the relevant papers
(in my opinion) that this community should take a look.
