Dear all, An MSc student at the University of Malta is working on providing a service to help engineers finding the right ontology for the task at hand. His service consists of assessing ontologies upon a variety of metrics and visualising the quality problems. We would like to find researchers and engineers (especially from the Industry) who worked (or are working) with ontologies. This will only take 30 minutes and if you are interested you can find the student details and call for participation below. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask me! Thanks for your help in advance. Best Regards, Jeremy ======= Forwarded Email Subject: Ontology Quality Assessment and Quality Visualisation - Evaluation Survey Determining the most 'fit-for-use' ontology may not always be a straightforward task! I am a student at the University of Malta, currently reading for a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence. My work focuses on Linked Data and Ontologies, specifically on the assessment of their quality. In my Dissertation, I have carried out a survey on quality metrics used in different areas of computer science, and proposed OntoQAV, a system for visualising the quality in Linked Data and Ontologies. An online survey will be carried out in the coming days to evaluate the proposed system. The data collected from the survey will be used to analyse its usefulness and usability. Survey Details: Link to Survey: [to be announced] Time Window: Monday, 21st August 2017 00:00hrs to Sunday, 27th August 2017 23:59hrs (AoE). Completion Duration: This evaluation should take approximately twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes. Should you be interested and willing to participate in this evaluation, kindly express you intent by submitting your e-mail address through the following form. Your email address will be used to provide you with the link to the Evaluation Survey at a later stage. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJAOJ7jQJuWRA3nFqhNz7x3g3RCuBpk3rvSYk-QGQI76UtqA/viewform?usp=sf_link <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJAOJ7jQJuWRA3nFqhNz7x3g3RCuBpk3rvSYk-QGQI76UtqA/viewform?usp=sf_link> The survey paper about quality metrics is available through the following link: Towards Ontology Quality Assessment (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319007298 <https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319007298>) You may also wish to have a look at OntoQAV, the proposed system for the visualisation of quality, and which is the subject of this evaluation. This poster paper which has been submitted to "The 16th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC)" and currently under review, is available through the link below. OntoQAV: A Pipeline for Visualising Ontology Quality (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319007532 <https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319007532>) I thank you for your time and look forward to your participating in this survey.
