PhD Position in Semantic Web and Linked Open Data at Aalborg University

A fully funded three-year PhD position is available at the Center for 
Data-intensive Systems (http://daisy.aau.dk), Department of Computer 
Science, Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark. The position is available 
for start over the summer/fall of 2016.

Research topic:
More and more data is published on the Web as RDF or Linked Open Data. 
Available datasets are naturally distributed, constantly changing, and 
have been published at different times, by different communities, in 
different languages, etc. We are looking for a talented and motivated 
PhD student whose work will help overcome these challenges and enable 
efficient query processing over Web data.

Requirements:
Applicants must have a master's degree in computer science or a closely 
related field, with very good grades. Good knowledge in relation to the 
research topic described above and strong implementation skills are 
required. Good communication skills in English, oral as well as written, 
are essential.

About PhD studies at Aalborg University:
Danish universities offer high PhD salaries (and good social benefits) 
that compare very well with the rest of the world. The monthly pre-tax 
salary including pension contribution at Aalborg University is 
approximately DKK 29,000. To broaden their research horizons, PhD
