RDF Engineer positions available at Expert System

Dear all,

Expert System is looking for a *Research Engineer with a major in RDF 
and Semantic Web technologies *in our Madrid office who will work on the 
development of innovative systems and applications related to semantic 
data management and text understanding. In particular the 
responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  * Depending on experience of the candidate, lead or participate in the
    development of internal and external (both nationally funded and
    European Horizon 2020) R&D initiatives on Semantic Data Management;
  * Create RDF models and ontologies describing complex data structures;
  * Occasionally, apply data mining techniques to analyze and infer
    statistical models on raw data;
  * Develop semantic applications with attention to both front and back
    end for the management of data objects following such models;
  * Leverage structured and non-structured data in a variety of formats
    from heterogeneous sources;
  * Extend our semantic resources in Spanish with special attention on
    the quality and;
  * Contribute to the continuous development of our core technology from
    the semantic point of view;
  * Test and verify the effectiveness of the platform.

Candidates will hold a Degree (ideally a PhD) in Computer Science, 
Artificial Intelligence or Computational linguistics and have a taste 
for programming, particularly in Java. Candidates with different levels 
of experience are welcome, though proven track record of participation 
in international R&D projects is appreciated. Fluency in English and 
good general culture knowledge are requested. Other requirements:

  * Fluent in Web programming, particularly in Java. C, C++, Python,
    Perl, or Scala appreciated;
  * Identify appropriate algorithms, methods and tools to manage and
    publish RDF graphs online;
  * Mastering the RDF technology stack, including modeling languages,
    tools, triplestores, and SPARQL;
  * Familiarity with Natural Language Processing technologies, e.g.
    GATE, the Stanford parser or Word2vec;
  * Familiarity with Data Mining toolkits, e.g. Weka.
  * Basic knowledge on search and information retrieval, including
    platforms like Solr and extensions;
  * Accuracy to check semantic resources to make sure the quality of the
    results is guaranteed;
  * Analysis and problem solving ability;
  * Capability to work in team.
